Venice, July 2 – La Fenice Theatre, an internationally renowned hub for opera music, was thrilled to welcome back Uto Ughi after five years for an extraordinary musical event. The performance took place to celebrate the launch of Acqua di Parma’s book “La nobiltà del Fare. Stories of Italian excellence” and saw Ughi entertain the Venetian audience with a violin and piano concert strengthening his deep connection with the city of Venice and La Fenice. For the occasion, Uto Ughi was accompanied on the piano by Maestro Bruno Canino.
The performance of a great Italian artist and a photo exhibition in the Apollinee rooms of Theatre La Fenice introduced to the audience and press Acqua di Parma’s new book, “La nobiltà del Fare”. The book is a prestigious volume, published by Electa, featuring images from the great Italian photographer Giovanni Gastel, who tells a series of exceptional stories demonstrating the noble skills which Italy has mastered since the Renaissance, one of the most eminent figures in there being Uto Ughi himself.
The project “La nobiltà del Fare” is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Cultural Assets and Activities and the National Institute for Foreign Trade. It has also officially been included in the 2013 programme of the Year of Italian Culture in the United States and is sponsored by the General Consulate of Italy in New York.
After its European debut, the book will be launched in America on 17th September 2013, on the occasion of the American premiere of the “Roberto Bolle and Friends Gala”, produced by Artedanza srl and sponsored exclusively by Acqua di Parma.
The ultimate achievement of a project which promotes Italian culture, something which Acqua di Parma took on with passion and pride is to be able to share and spread, through words and pictures, the stories of extraordinary Italians, such as Uto Ughi.
