Part of the La Caletta Summer collection, Acropora sees Laura Gonzalez revisiting one of her most recognisable forms for Acqua di Parma.
Inspired by organic marine shapes, the sculptural object recalls the fragile yet strong branching coral, capturing the movement and energy of the sea while maintaining a refined architectural touch. For this edition, Gonzalez reimagines her design by combining the graphic pattern developed for the base with a hand-finished organic surface treatment on the upper part of the candle. Rendered entirely in deep blue tones, the piece is elevated by subtle hand-applied silver details, including the artist’s signature and the Acqua di Parma logo on the front, adding a discreet and distinctive finish.
Weighing 1100g, the candle diffuses the notes of Fico di Amalfi, a fragrance that reveals itself with vibrant freshness and depth. Bright citrus notes of Calabrian bergamot, Italian lemon, and grapefruit open the composition, followed by fig nectar, pink pepper, and jasmine petal accords. The scent settles into warm accents of fig tree wood, cedarwood, and benzoin, evoking the Mediterranean landscape that inspires both fragrance and form.
