A masterpiece of Italian woodworking expertise, the limited-edition Holiday Chess Set is entirely handmade for a touch of decorative sophistication. The chessboard, crafted from Canaletto walnut and cherry wood, serves as a game board and the lid of the elegant storage box.
Inside, the set houses 32 handcrafted chess pieces inspired by the cap of the Maison’s iconic Art Deco bottle, divided into two unique sets: one made from natural cherry wood and the other from pear wood, lacquered in Acqua di Parma’s signature yellow.
Each piece is individually shaped on a lathe, ensuring a precise and polished finish. The set features marquetry—a decorative process combining small pieces of coloured wood into intricate designs. The Bishop, Queen, and King pieces boast a removable top that holds Maison’s fragrance vials. The interior is lined with custom-cut compartments crafted from cherry wood using advanced CNC technology to fit each piece, preserving their finish over time perfectly.
A padded microsuede cushion further protects the interiors, enhanced with a yellow leather loop for added convenience. The edges of the chessboard are adorned with Acqua di Parma’s signature yellow stitching, while the Acqua di Parma logo is laser-engraved on the wood, and the leather logo is hot-stamped at the center of the interior tray.
This handcrafted set comes with a dust bag for storage, complete with logo personalization, and is housed in a custom designed box to ensure its longevity.
Avoid contact with liquids, oils, and prolonged sunlight, and gently clean with a damp cloth when necessary.
