A playful nod to the two-in-one Chapeau! candle by Dorothée Meilichzon, the new Fico di Amalfi edition features a violet-hued cap crafted from glazed stoneware that doubles as a 330-gram one-wick candle.
The handcrafted porcelain bottom is a second 1600-gram five-wick candle, maintaining the pure and crisp design of its signature shape with an even and expansive illumination.
Crafted with the utmost care, the base of the piece starts as a 'biscuit' - a term denoting the initial, unglazed porcelain that, once shaped and oven-set, is sanded to smoothness in a process that takes up to 30 minutes yet retains a raw, tactile quality.
This contrasts beautifully with the lid, which is first glazed, and then put in the oven. To ensure the vibrancy of the violet hue, another layer of glaze is applied before the piece is fired again, resulting in a glossy, refined finish.
The hand embossed plaque on each candle is a modern reinterpretation of the iconic Acqua di Parma label while the manual finishing of the cap and the hand-poured wax add a nuanced finesse of handcraftsmanship.
The candle diffuses notes evoking the Amalfi coast with enveloping soft scents of fig trees under the radiant sunshine.
Lively top notes of Bergamot, Lemon, Grapefruit and Cedar meet accents of Fig Nectar, Pink Pepper, and Jasmine Petals and at its base, harmonious blend of Fig Wood, Cedarwood and Benzoin.


To ensure the best experience from your scented candle, Acqua di Parma recommends:
- Do not burn each candle for more than 1,5 hours at a time. This will prevent the flame from becoming too high, which creates smoke and could stain the sides of the jars.
- Use an Acqua di Parma snuffer to extinguish the flame.
- Allow the candle to solidify before relighting it.
- Restraighten the wick in the wax after each use for consistent consumption of the wax.
- Regularly cut the wick with an Acqua di Parma wick trimmer so that the wick does not stick to the wax and prevents the candle from emitting smoke.
- Keep the wax pool clear of matches and debris. - Do not use the candle if the remaining wax level in the vase is less than 5 mm.
- Do not leave the burning candle unattended. Keep away from children, curtains, and pets.
- Do not move a burning candle or when the wax is still hot. Wait for the wax to solidify.
- Ensure that the wax of both candles is fully solidified before placing the candle-cap back on the candle-base.
- Do not place the candle on heat-sensitive surfaces, near flammable materials, an open window, or other candles.
